Top Home Based Businesses 2011
It will also help you do better in the search engines and you know what that means - more profits! A blog will add more exposure, whether you have an existing website for your bed and breakfast or not. Anyone running a bed and breakfast should seriously consider adding a blog.
It costs a fraction of what you will pay for offline advertising and has the potential to bring you guests from all over the world. That the internet has become the most valuable sales and marketing tool available, or want to run a bed and breakfast, it's an inescapable fact for anyone who runs.
From all over the place, . Etc, country inns, guest houses, if not their own website then at the very least they appear on those sites offering bed and breakfasts. Almost every bed and breakfast has some kind of internet presence. The challenge is that pretty much everyone now realizes this.
If you're not doing well there you will struggle. Most potential guests will find you via search engines. It's getting more and more difficult to get decent results as more and more competitors come online. If you are already running a bed and breakfast website you will know this. So competition is tough.
You can set up a stand-alone blog or add one to your existing B & B website. Very cheap. And it's cheap, you don't need all that coding knowledge that you do for a good website, it's easy to do. Blogging can really give your bed and breakfast business a boost.

There isn't space here to go into detail but a new bed and breakfast blog will typically get ranked in the search engines much quicker than a "traditional" website. Search engines love them - and so do people, what's more.
Are you going to do that by throwing $200 a month at a company who claim they can get you higher in the search engines or by investing $10 a month in your own blog? Running a bed and breakfast is almost certainly something you enjoy - or you wouldn't do it - but you still want it to turn a profit. Look at it another way.
